Grant permissions
Without the right permissions, fluesta cannot record, use the hotkey, or paste text.

Microphone (macOS & Windows)
Section titled “Microphone (macOS & Windows)”- Launch fluesta or complete onboarding.
- Allow microphone access when prompted.
- If denied: System Settings → Privacy → Microphone → enable fluesta.
Accessibility (macOS only)
Section titled “Accessibility (macOS only)”- Open System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility.
- Enable fluesta.
- Restart fluesta if the hotkey or auto-paste does not respond.
Screen recording (macOS) & window content (Windows)
Section titled “Screen recording (macOS) & window content (Windows)”fluesta can use visible window content for better correction (not continuous recording).
macOS:
- System Settings → Privacy & Security → Screen Recording.
- Enable fluesta.
Windows: fluesta reads text from the focused window via OCR — no additional permission is required.
Without macOS screen recording, dictation still works — only screen-based context is skipped.
