Change hotkey (Windows or custom combination on Mac)

Section titled “Change hotkey (Windows or custom combination on Mac)”
  1. Open Settings in the desktop app.
  2. Go to the General tab.
  3. On macOS: Disable Fn/Globe key as hotkey first if you want a custom combination.
  4. Under Dictation hotkey, click Change.
  5. Press the desired combination (at least one modifier + one key).
  6. Click Save.

If fluesta detects a conflict with another app, a warning appears — choose a rarely used combination.

  • macOS: Re-enable Fn/Globe key as hotkey under Settings → General.
  • Windows: Click Reset next to the current hotkey to restore Ctrl + Win.

On Mac, the Fn/Globe key is the default hotkey. If you use a custom key combination, Fn mode is disabled — the two options are mutually exclusive.
